Katrin Sarapuu

In Estonian fine art photography, there are several strong young artists who focus on conceptual staged photography, sometimes with a social undertone. But alongside them, artists are emerging for whom staged photography is a medium rather than a meaningful end in itself. Among the latter is Katrin Sarapuu. “Out of the circle” is a self-reflective series of photographs by Sarapuu, where the inverted imagery reflects the artist’s attempt to cope with the social patterns that oppress her.
